Brighter days ahead! For our social lives . . . and our skin.
As more of us get fully vaccinated, we’ll finally be able to see in person the friends and loved ones we’ve only seen via our computer screens for 10, long months. With days getting longer, we’ll be getting outside more, even if it’s only for hikes and other outdoor activities. February is the perfect month to prepare for your big spring reveal. Many of our clients like to meet these brighter days with brighter, smoother skin achieved via the ViPeel. Is there something better to do during quarantine?
ViPeel is a moderate chemical peel that reduces dark spots, fine lines, and wrinkles. It helps dull, dry skin recapture a fresh and youthful glow. It can even improve acne scars and melasma and provide some tightening for sun-damaged skin. Even patients who’ve tried other chemical peels have been thrilled with the results from the VIPeel.
The ViPeel works on two levels. First, it removes the dry, damaged layers of your skin. It also stimulates collagen production, leading to firmer, more youthful skin in just 7 days. ViPeel can be tailored to your skin type. Everyone from those with fair skin to those with darker and olive skin tones get a radiant glow with the VIPeel.
There are 4 custom peels based on your skin type:
- VI Peel Original – for anti-aging and skin rejuvenation. Shrinks enlarged pores, tightens sagging skin, and diminishes acne scarring.
VI Peel Precision Peel – contains more concentrated ingredients than those in the original VI Peel. Patients with hyperpigmentation, melasma, and actinic keratosis that haven’t responded to other treatments get great results. - VI Peel Purify – Purify was initially developed for those struggling with acne issues. It also stimulates collagen and elastin, the building blocks of firmer skin. Used together with the original ViPeel, Purify evens skin tone and texture brilliantly.
VI Peel Purify Precision Plus – a more concentrated version of the VI Precision Peel, this formulation works well for the most stubborn melasma and pigmentation cases. - Advances in Chemical Peels Make Them More Effective AND Gentle
- Those who shudder at the thought of putting chemicals on their face usually relax once we explain that these chemical peels have become far more effective AND gentle over the past 10 years. Advances in technology and chemical formulas make the treatments once only available to celebrities possible for anyone who wants to look good. Wonder why 60 is the new 40 and 70 is the new 50? These safe, effective procedures brighten skin no matter your age, ethnicity, or condition.
What to Expect with a VIPeel
First and foremost, understand that the VIPeel causes significant peeling that lasts up to 7 days. This outcome may mean Zoom meetings with video OFF, but only for a few days.
Still, there’s no better time than quarantine to slough off old, damaged skin. Essex Medspa sends you home with a nourishing, post-peel package that soothes and moisturizes skin so it can recover its natural health and sheen. Our sensitive patients will be relieved to know that VIPeel comes with its own numbing agent, making the procedure a breeze. After your visit, your skin can look slightly tan, yellow, or red. A feeling of tight skin follows over the next two days, and pigmented areas look darker. By day three, the peeling begins, often around the mouth area. This peeling continues until day six or seven. During this time, you must avoid sun exposure, staying indoors whenever possible, and using sunscreen carefully when you go out. It’s best to completely avoid sun exposure on days three and four. By day five, your skin will return to its normal PH levels. Hyperpigmentation issues should be improved or eliminated.
Our patients who repeat the VIPeel two or three times in two- to three-week intervals enjoy the best, long-term results. The good news is that these results last up to three years.
Ready to Rejuvenate for Spring? The VIPeel Could Be Your Ticket
Avoid the Surgical Facelift with VIPeel’s Many Benefits
Turning your best face into the spring sun may include a little support from your favorite esthetician and beauty wing-woman: Essex MedSpa.
We’ll admit it: we’re touched by the origins of the VIPeel. Apparently, its inventor, Dr. Abdala Khalil, had a tough time finding solutions for his daughter’s acne issues. After several attempts, he found success by combining several chemicals in a peel that removed problem areas while stimulating the generation of healthy new skin cells.
Depending on the facial issues you want to improve, Dr. Sohayda and our Littleton estheticians will work with you to determine which of the VIPeel solutions are best for you.
If you would like to explore the benefits of VIPeel, please call 303-973-3683. You can also ask your questions on our online form. We’ll be sure to get back to you by the next business day.
